His withdrawal would push him through 22 days without sleep—but on the other side was an entirely different life.

Navarone also shares the remarkable story of discovering a large Brazilian family he never knew he had, the painful breakdown of his relationship with his father, returning to Brazil sober, learning Portuguese so he could communicate with his relatives, and eventually building a life between the United States and Brazil.

Alan Clancy went from performing as an acrobatic dancer around the world to being told he might never walk again.

After performing across Europe, Asia and Las Vegas, Alan’s life changed in an instant when he became critically ill with anthrax. He collapsed at home, his leg violently snapped, and he says he was essentially dead by the time help arrived.
