When you hear the word “worship,” what comes to mind? The worship band? Singing? The music portion of a Sunday service?
In this episode of The Pastoral Associates, we continue our series, “Things We Believe That Are Not in the Bible,” by examining the common idea that “worship is the music portion of the worship service.”
Singing is certainly an important and biblical expression of worship—but biblical worship is much bigger than music. We look at what Scripture means by worship and how preaching, prayer, giving, serving, obedience, and even our everyday lives can be acts of worship.
Worship doesn’t begin when the music starts or end when the final song is over. Worship is the response of our whole lives to who God is and what He has done for us in Jesus Christ.
Join The Pastoral Associates as we talk about what it means to worship God in spirit and truth—and why Christians should think about worship as much more than singing on Sunday.
