The first Sunday State of the Pacers of the 2026–27 season is HERE! Brad and Ryan break down everything from Friday night’s preseason finale against the Milwaukee Bucks, including the increasingly impressive connection between Tyrese Haliburton and Ivica Zubac. After two dominant preseason performances, just how dangerous can this new duo become? Pascal Siakam is finding his offensive rhythm and Andrew Nembhard continues to remind everyone how underrated he is. Are we really talking about Nembhard and Nesmith as the FOURTH and FIFTH options on this team? Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

We look ahead to the start of the 2026–27 regular season, discuss expectations for this revamped Pacers roster, and ask whether Indiana is being seriously underestimated around the NBA. And finally, with seemingly every football team in the state of Indiana finding a way to lose this weekend, things get a little DELUSIONAL as we try to make sense of it all. Basketball season can’t get here soon enough.

Tyrese Haliburton is BACK. For the first time since his devastating Achilles injury in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, Haliburton returned to Oklahoma City. And what a return it was.

24 POINTS. 18 MINUTES. 4-OF-6 FROM DEEP.

Brad and Ryan break down an electric performance in Indiana’s third preseason matchup. Three-point shooting, midrange jumpers, aggressive drives, left-handed finishes, and even a couple of blocks. Tyrese looked every bit like himself again. His chemistry with Ivica Zubac took a noticeable leap from the preseason opener, with Zubac showcasing the physicality and interior presence Indiana has been missing. A 13-point, 13-rebound, 5-assist performance in just 18 minutes says it all. It was an emotional return to the arena where it all ended, and a glimpse of what might have been in Game 7. It’s only preseason, but Tyrese looks like Tyrese, Zubac looks like the real deal, and the Pacers are giving us plenty of reasons to believe.
