On this podcast, we are talking to David about a project he's been working on for 9 years. David's son is an actor, and when he first went to drama school, during the first half-term holiday, he brought home the music for a new show that was to become a global sensation. That show was SIX; for those that haven't heard or seen it, it is about the 6 wives of Henry VIII and, of course, features 6 female actors.

David then asked his son what the alternative would be for male actors, and other than the likes of Jersey Boys, there wasn't really anything. David set himself a challenge to come up with a credible alternative; it took all that time, with many different projects started and stopped along the way, until he hit on The Mob: Made-Men. We will let David tell you more about it, but suffice it to say, David and his son are now working on bringing the show to a theatre near you.

We won't write too much here, as it is better coming from John in his own words; however, just to say, John suggested that he thought it might help others in a similar situation to him with his recent cancer diagnosis and how he and, importantly, his family are handling the findings and the treatment he is now undergoing.

Yes, it certainly is well only in Old Git World. We visited the home of Mr Christmas UK, and the big man was there, ready and waiting for us.

It was our visit to the home of Andy Parke, who is officially Mr Christmas, and what a wonderful surprise and great day out it was for us. As we arrived, the Queen's speech was on TV; Mr Christmas runs this EVERY single day of the year and alternates between the King and, of course, the Queen. The whole house is fully decorated and looks so nice with his upside-down Christmas tree.

With the sunshine we are having in the UK at the moment, it was nice to visit Mr Christmas and think about what is likely to be coming up in a few months' time.
