This time, Jennifer McGee is on the other side of the mic.
Her niece, Annika Lochhead, joins her in the studio and gets a chance to turn the tables a little. They talk about what Jennifer was really like as Aunt Jen, growing up in their family, old memories, her path into oil and gas, and a few stories that probably weren’t supposed to make it onto the podcast.
The conversation also gets personal as Jennifer and Annika talk about Debbie, Jennifer’s sister and Annika’s mom, and what losing her has taught them about time. Jennifer opens up about the things she wishes she had slowed down for; the ordinary moments she didn’t realize she would miss, and why she looks at time with the people she loves differently now.
Of course, they can’t stay serious for too long. There’s also a story about being left at Pizza Hut, another involving a cab, and a discovery about Grandma’s pumpkin pie that Annika clearly has not gotten over.
If you’ve listened to Jennifer interview everyone else, this episode is your chance to get to know her a little better.
