A bone-dry burgundy notebook found in a sealed septic tank belonged to an astronomer who died seventy years earlier, and a stairwell light has been turning on every night between 2:30 and 2:51 AM with no visible cause - what links a lost notebook and lights that wake a scientist in the middle of the night?
In this episode, we follow the sequence of strange occurrences at Calloway Ridge Observatory and Halverson Hall at Brauer University, from a contractor finding the notebook on July 10, 2011 to repeated sensor-triggered lights and unexplained objects appearing in a researcher’s office, asking whether these are mechanical errors or something more puzzling.

- The PIR motion sensor in the east stairwell consistently triggered between 2:30 and 2:51 AM on multiple nights while the stairwell remained empty.
- On July 3, 2011 Cynthia found an unfamiliar star chart on her desk placed over her own Scorpius chart, annotated in an unknown cramped penciled hand.
