Stephen Brunt was the first guest on today’s show! A wine connoisseur, fly fisherman, author and trombone player had a lot to say on his first appearance on The Nielson Show! He shed some light on the new documentary he’s been working on, how much he’s enjoying it and what it takes to write and produce an episode. He finished off with his favourite memory as a Hamilton Tiger-Cats fan!

It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.

In the middle of hour two, we gave some Free Advice for Damon Bunting. This was a great segment, lots of laughs and plenty of good advice today!

Wasn’t long before we dove into Morning Announcements from Rundle Park Short Course. We recapped last night’s ball game between the Blue Jays and the Twins and the huge news from yesterday… but not before YTT showed us his awesome shorts!

After the first break, we then got into Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel. It’s a heavy weight matchup between Lowe and Chiarelli!

We finished hour one with MMMMMM That’s Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop to discuss college football week 0!

Joaclean Gage was the final guest on today’s show. He gave us his thoughts on the huge announcement we made yesterday… then called out a colleague. The whipping boy bracket continued today and Gager shared his thoughts and who was more criticized, Horcoff or Puljujarvi! And the summer break is over for F1, Gager finished with his thoughts on the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix this Sunday.

To start off hour two, Justin Dunk stopped by to talk all things CFL. He gave his thoughts on the current playoff format. Then touched on all the games from the previous week. Dunk finished with his thoughts on a preview for CFL Week 13, and whether or not he thinks the Elks have a chance against the red hot Stamps!
