The Festival for the "Fated Four" is in full swing in Willow's Bend, a celebration built on a foundation of lies. As Charts observes the so-called heroes, a tense confrontation with the archer Finch reveals a dangerous truth about the mysterious Watcher in their midst. Suddenly, the joyous festival is shattered by a wave of terror that plunges the town into slaughter. When the town's supposed heroes falter before the unseen threat, an act of true heroism forces Charts to protect an innocent life, putting him on a deadly collision course with the lethal Watcher himself.
