Description Do miracles actually violate the laws of physics or suspend the order of nature? In modern philosophy—from David Hume and Baruch Spinoza to Gottfried Leibniz—a miracle is almost always defined as a divinely ordained exception to natural physical laws. But is this how the Eastern Church Fathers understood miraculous events?
