While the United States actively investigates unidentified anomalous phenomena through declassified documents and Pentagon units, the United Kingdom currently lacks a centralized system for tracking these occurrences. After shuttering its dedicated Ministry of Defence UFO desk in 2009 due to budget constraints, the British government left a notable reporting gap for citizens and veteran pilots. Consequently, private groups like the SEPI Agency are attempting to record unexplained events that frequently get dismissed as mundane drones or atmospheric anomalies. Although historical episodes like the Rendlesham Forest incident highlight persistent national security concerns, officials maintain that such sightings pose no direct military threat. Ultimately, advocates argue that this lack of official oversight leaves the nation unprepared, fostering unchecked public speculation regarding unexplained aerial phenomena.

Ancient astronaut theorists propose that extraterrestrial beings have actively shaped human history through cataclysmic interventions, such as causing the great flood, guiding figures during the American Civil War, and orchestrating mass disappearances across various ancient civilizations. These otherworldly entities allegedly view Earth as a genetic laboratory, preserving life through DNA banks and monitoring human evolution. Furthermore, structures like the Statue of Freedom and ancient archaeological sites are cited as evidence of a long-standing cosmic connection between humans and star people. Ultimately, these theorists suggest that mankind is part of a larger cosmic agenda directed by alien ancestors who continue to oversee humanity's development.

Ancient astronaut theorists argue that historical accounts of angels, gods, and mythological entities are actually misinterpretations of flesh-and-blood extraterrestrials who have actively shaped human history. According to these perspectives, advanced alien visitors engineered modern humans, provided the technological inspiration for ancient monuments, and even influenced the layout and architecture of Washington, D.C. Furthermore, proponents suggest that historical catastrophes and global cataclysms were orchestrated by these otherworldly beings as part of a long-term genetic manipulation program. The sources conclude that humanity consists of human-alien hybrids, warning that these intelligence forces may return to execute future changes or assert control over Earth's civilization.
