Early on the morning of New Year's Day in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood in 1963 2 young boys out looking for golf balls got more than they bargained for when they discovered the half-naked body of a man partially covered by his clothes which had been thrown over the top of him alongside a square of carpet beside a river in a secluded tree-lined area. At first, the boys thought he was a drunk party leftover from New Year's, but soon discovered things were slightly more sinister.

We bet you'll never guess whodunit!
This is a particularly intriguing, very well-known case in Australia with some very interesting characters.
