  • The reset ritual I swear by - it works!
    2025/12/07

    Show Notes:

Ever have one of those days where you just feel flat, drained, foggy, and a bit disconnected from yourself?

You’re not alone, my love!. In this episode, I share how I hit that wall recently and decided to go through my own 30-Minute MotherSparker Reset — the exact process I created to help mums feel lighter, clearer, and more like themselves again.

You’ll hear what I did (spoiler: it involved water, a banana, a soggy walk, and a 10-minute lie down), what it reminded me about energy, and why self-care doesn’t have to be complicated.

If you’ve been running on empty, this episode is your gentle reminder that your spark isn’t gone — it’s just waiting for a little attention.

  • Naked Trees & Honest Truths - what are you ready to let fall away?
    2025/11/20

In this short and reflective episode, I take you with me on a walk through the New Forest, sniffly nose 'n all, to explore what nature can teach us about letting go. As the trees shed their leaves, I muse on the beauty of being laid bare, the strength that comes from seeing our true shape, and the courage it takes to release what no longer serves us.

I share stories of grief, growth, and the surprising peace that comes when we stop pretending and simply stand in our truth.

    Journaling Prompts:

    • What have I been holding on to that no longer feels true for me?
    • When I strip away the roles and expectations, who am I really?
    • What do I want to keep standing strong on? Where am I putting my roots?

So grab a cuppa, take a breath, and join me for a gentle reminder that even in the barest seasons, there’s beauty, strength, and renewal waiting to be seen.

  • Oops, Wrong Timeline: Grieving the Lives We Didn’t Live
    2025/11/06

Ever look back and wonder about the life you didn’t live? The career that never happened, the version of you that took a different turn? Or how big your hair might have been if you'd followed your 80's/90's heroine?

In this episode, I explore the tender, funny, and sometimes bittersweet process of grieving the lives we didn’t live. From the myth of “having it all” to the quiet beauty of blessing the paths not taken, I reflect on how midlife invites us to make peace with our past choices and rediscover who we are now.

It’s part reflection, part rebellion, and a gentle reminder that it’s never too late to create new possibilities or to learn from the parallel you who did The Thing.

    2025/10/23

Ever rolled your eyes at the phrase “hold space”? Yep, me too… until I realised what it really means.

In this episode, we explore the quiet power of presence, the beauty of not having all the answers, and how simply being there can transform our relationships and our motherhood.

Holding Space might sound like a buzzword, but the end result of holding space is something quite magical.

If you are craving some mutual support, I am opening up The MotherSparker Sanctuary - my free Facebook group - where you can find support, encouragement, inspiration and just generally feel like you're not alone.

There’ll also be the occasional oracle card reading or meditation to lift your spirits.

  • I've been everyone but Me, how about You?
    2025/09/25

In this episode of The MotherSparker Podcast, I open up about what it feels like to lose yourself under the endless roles of motherhood and caregiving. From advocate to fixer, organiser to emotional buffer, I’ve worn them all — but somewhere along the way, I forgot what it felt like to simply be Jaci.
This isn’t about regret, it’s about awareness. It’s about peeling back the layers, gently rediscovering who we are underneath the labels, and reclaiming the parts of ourselves we put on pause.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Who am I, really, underneath all of this?” then this episode is for you.

  • Faded Labels: Rediscovering Myself After Motherhood & Burnout
    2025/09/18

Ever found yourself wondering who you are without your labels?

In this deeply personal episode of The Mother Sparker Podcast, I’m reflecting on the messy, emotional space that follows decades of motherhood, advocacy & carer burnout— when the labels start to fade and you’re left wondering, Who am I now? I mean honestly, who TF even am I?

From postnatal depression to parenting through complex medical and neurodiverse challenges, I share how my identity became entangled with being a mum, a carer, and an advocate. Now, with more space in my days and fewer urgent demands, I find myself asking the big questions — and invite you to ask them, too.

I’ve realised how much of myself got wrapped up in those roles. Somewhere along the way, I stopped being just ‘Jaci’, and I became the sorter-outer, label-making organiser, the researcher, the emotional anchor… the everything. (Also, how did I become the only one who knows where things are? Use your damn eyes, kiddo, its right bloody there!!)

Now, with more space in my days and fewer demands, I’m sitting in that weird limbo — the identity shift of midlife — exploring who I am beyond all the labels. This isn’t a how-to guide — it’s more of a heart-share from the messy middle. No neat answers, just real talk and big questions.

If you’re a mum over 40 feeling a bit lost too, you’re not broken. We’re evolving. Go us! We Rock!

    • Journal Prompt: What labels have I been clinging to — and who might I be without them?

  • Crying in a Cardigan: Reframing My Autumn Attitude
    2025/09/04

Summers gone & I'm still here holding on like I lent it my phone. Hello autumn, you tricky thing.

I’m not ready for autumn. I never am.

I talk about Simple Abundance, emotional reframing, NLP, why winter somehow gets a free pass, and how I'm trying to stop blaming autumn for things it didn’t actually cause.

If you're holding on to summer like it owes you money, or just trying to reframe a seasonal yuckiness — this one’s for you.
