  • Ep. 12: Marie Berry of Yvoty shares her story and mission
    2025/08/29

It was my pleasure to welcome Marie Berry of Yvoty (ee-vo-tay) on for her first podcast interview talking about her new company! Eek, I love being people's first!

Her passion to support women's bone health through weighted walking is only the tip of the ice berg of Marie's long history in women's health, business ownership, and community building. The story of her childhood and returning to her roots is one I feel we can all relate to. Growing older can sometimes mean losing one's self for what society or culture tells us, until those stories don't match up with our soul's calling and heart's desires.

Marie took a chance on bringing her history to the present while also empowering more women too! Take a listen to learn more and check her out on all the platforms.

  • Ep. 11: The one with Dr. Kari - chiropractor for athletes
    2025/07/31

Take a listen to learn about how your pelvic floor may be causing more issues than you thought! And more!

This chat with Kari was filled with body education for the active woman! I absolutely love 'nerding' out with fellow body pros about how we can be more movement optimized and approach movement smarter in our daily lives and our activities!

    Bio:

Dr. Kari Collver grew up in Tulsa, OK. She studied at the University of Oklahoma before attending Parker Chiropractic School in Dallas Texas. Her internship and first four years of practice took place in San Francisco, CA where she worked with the Bay Areas top professional athletes. It is here that her passion for sports training began. Feeling a pull away from the hustle and bustle of city life, she moved to Montana in 2012 to take advantage of the outdoors and Livingston's active lifestyle.

It is here that she opened Mountainside Chiropractic and began to acquire specific rehab certifications that include Graston, Dry Needling and McKenzie Technique, to name a few.

By integrating a heavy therapeutic base into her chiropractic adjustments, she has created a strong following of patients that not only want to feel better but also want to change their biomechanics as a whole. She now owns a multidiscipline practice with three practitioners called Collaborative Health that offers a comprehensive approach to wellness.

She is an avid runner and enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hiking and camping with her daughters Reese and Raegan.

  • Why should you rave in the forest with other women?
    2025/02/11

How will dancing in a forest with loud music and strangers (who become soul sisters!) help you?

    Take a listen/watch!

    What's important:

Women need in-person community now more than ever. What they also need is an opportunity to unburden themselves of their roles and responsibilities for a given amount of time so that they can just....BE! They can be themselves without worrying how it will appear or come off. They can move their bodies in ways theyfeel, not "how they should". They can experience the joy of music, vibration, and community without judgement or shame. These things are necessary for us to tap into on a regular basis through dance, play, laughter in a safe gathering space!

  • Ep. 8: The one about somatic healing with Mitch Webb
    2024/10/24

If you want to be amazed, in awe, flabergasted by something, learn about your nervous system. Seriously. Every time I have conversations about it or do somatic work or read research, it just gets cooler!!! And this is what this conversation with Mitch is chock full of!

Prepare to have your mind blown, maybe shed a tear with us, and learn how to start connecting with the most important system in your body, your nervous system.

If this is hijacked, you ain't changing nothin'!!

My favorite quote from Mitch: "trauma that leads to dysregulation gets us STUCK." We literally can't do anything until we address the stuckness.

And trauma doesn't have to be shock trauma like an accident, it can be anything your conscious and subconscious PERCEIVES as traumatic.

The ah-ha moment for me - it's the dysregulation of the nervous system that keeps us from reaching whatever goals or changes we're seeking. If we don't first listen and work with our nervous system, we are literally wasting time and money with all the pretty "biohacks" and protocols.

Take a listen, this is a great one!

  • Ep. 7: The one with Melonie Ferrell and conquering adulthood through rucking
    2024/10/11

As a high school power lifter and athlete, exercise made Melonie feel awesome! Lifting heavy and going hard was also a form of therapy.

Fast forward to adulthood and the ups and downs we experience in this thing called life! Fed up with weight gain and feeling lost, she took the advice of her father and firefighter friend to try walking....and rucking. She was hooked!!!

Listen in for more of Melonie's story that is also the story for many of us. What I love about listening to each woman's story is how so so similar we are to each other and this one thing, walking outside with a back pack, and showing up for these crazy events, bonds us even stronger together to have more connection, community, empathy, and kindness. We are not alone sisters, not for one second. We are all out here just like you doing the damn thing!

  • Ep. 6: The one with Becca Sullivan who found her strength again after kicking cancer's ass
    2024/09/19

"If I can't run I have to do something!...Dusted my ruck off, and kinda took off! Mentally that was my turning point, 'I'm going to be strong again, I'm good!' It was as simple as putting my back pack on and putting miles on my feet....It sounds crazy, it is so much more than putting a backpack on." - Becca

To join Becca for a walk to remember those who aren't with us due to cancer, walk or ruck where ever you are in the world on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 for an 18 miler. 18 is the number of days she received chemo and was a pact she made with her fellow sisters who were also going through treatment. Sadly, none of them are with us today so she walks to honor and remember them, and remember how fortunate she is to be here.
