South Africa passed some of the strictest gun laws on earth. Law-abiding citizens surrendered their firearms under threat of prison. Then police sold those same guns to street gangs. More than a thousand murders—including hundreds of children—traced back to the weapons the state confiscated. The government disarmed the innocent and armed their killers. This week the United Nations handed that country the gavel at its Arms Trade Treaty conference. That’s not a cautionary tale. That’s a preview. As my guest today has said, the most dangerous thing a man can have in his hand is not a gun. It’s a gavel. And it’s the pen that writes your rights away. It’s the camera that tracks you with no warrant. Here at home they’re installing Flock license-plate cameras at gun ranges and gun stores. Every vehicle that pulls in gets logged. They’re building a list of Americans exercising the Second Amendment—no probable cause, no consent, no Fourth Amendment. A de facto registry without ever passing a registry law. And they still want your guns. They haven’t moderated. They’ve just gotten quieter about saying it out loud. Joining me today is the man you just saw who flew to Geneva and said it to their faces: Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights. We’re going to talk about what’s happening overseas, what’s happening in your parking lot, and what we do about it.
