• Tapping Into the Akasha with Rohini Moradi
    2026/09/02

Rohini Moradi was born inside the only Hindu temple in Iran, where her father served as the Pujari. Her childhood was chanting, meditation, and pilgrimages through India to temples most seekers never get to enter. Then her family arrived in America as refugees, and she spent years learning to hide the parts of herself that didn't fit. A devastating loss later undid her completely. She describes becoming a puddle she had to re-form herself from, and that rebuilding is where her real work began.

In this conversation we go into the Akasha itself. What it actually is, how she works with it, and why she pushes back on so much of what gets said about the Akashic Records. Her book isn't a system for fixing yourself. It's an invitation to set down the identities you've been carrying that were never yours, and find what's been underneath the whole time. We also talk about sound as a healing force, her work as a composer, and the plants in her studio that sing.

If you've ever sensed there's more available to you than what you were handed, this one is for you.

Tapping Into the Akasha is out now from Red Wheel/Weiser.

  • Bryan Welch on What Grief Really Teaches Us About Love
    2026/08/05

What if grief is not something to get through, but something that opens you? Bryan Welch lost his 25 year old son to addiction, and in the depths of that loss he could not find a reason to care for himself or for much of anything at all. What he found instead was how to care without reason, how to love unconditionally, and eventually a kind of joyful connection he never expected to feel again.

Bryan is a business executive, writer, rancher, and practicing Buddhist, and his new book from New Harbinger, The Gift of a Broken Heart, is his account of that journey. He and Lisa talk about grief as a teacher rather than a problem to be solved, about how loss dismantles our illusions of safety and separateness, and about what becomes possible on the other side.

    In this conversation:

    · Why grief fully felt can connect us rather than isolate us

    · What Buddhist practice offers a heart in pieces

    · Losing a child to addiction, and living with that loss honestly

    · How vulnerability opens the door to compassion and real joy

    · Why if we love, we will grieve, and why that is not a tragedy
