Fear, self-talk and mental performance, with Collin Henderson, mental conditioning coach and author of The OZ Method.
Collin Henderson lived with a stutter from sixth grade until his late twenties, and it shaped how he showed up as a Division I athlete at Washington State and later in pharmaceutical sales. In this conversation with Bart Berkey he explains how asking for help, speech therapy and years of Toastmasters taught him to act in spite of fear, and how that became his life's work: normalizing mindset training.
THE PERFORMANCE EQUATION
Collin's formula is talent plus skill, minus internal interference, equals execution probability. Self-doubt, fear and shame are the interference. He explains why the brain does not care what is true, only what is repeated, why worrying is visualizing what you don't want, and how three words, his truth triangle, anchor him before any hard conversation.
