Today's readings explore the difference between a life built around what we accumulate and a life built around what we receive as gift. Paul reminds us that we are saved not by our own efforts but by God's grace, while the Gospel presents a cautionary story about a man whose whole horizon is filled with his own possessions. On this feast of the North American Martyrs—priests and companions who gave everything in service of the Gospel—these readings invite us to listen for what it truly means to be rich. Today's Readings: • First Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10 • Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 100:1b-2, 3, 4ab, 4c-5 • Gospel: Luke 12:13-21
