The holiday season is upon us once again. In this market update, Tony and Justin recap the Malibu Real Estate market and its various segments throughout 2025 up to Thanksgiving. In this episode of the People's History of Malibu, Tony, along with friend Malibu local, K.C. Blinn, recount the relatively unknown saga of the Malibu Beach Patrol. In the 80s and 90s, a battle began brewing between the homeowners on the Western Malibu beaches and the general public who were enjoying newly founded access via the state beaches. To keep the public out, these owners hired a band of local college kids to guard these borders; enter Tony, KC, and friends. A few glorious summers of the greatest job ever all came crashing down spectacularly. This is the story of the Malibu Beach Patrol.
