  • How to Earn Trust Quickly at Work (And Why Small Actions Matter Most)
    2026/05/05

Trust is the foundation of influence, leadership, and opportunity.

But how do you build it quickly?

In this episode, I break down the practical behaviours that create trust in real work environments, and why it is built through what you do, not what you say.

A common question is whether trust can actually be built quickly. The answer is yes, but not through big gestures or statements. It comes from consistency and clarity. People form trust based on what they see repeated, not what they are told.

I explain why behaviour matters more than words. Following through, communicating clearly, and maintaining standards all contribute to how others experience you. And that experience is what builds trust.

Small moments play a bigger role than most people realise. Everyday actions like meeting expectations, responding reliably, and handling situations with clarity all add up. Over time, these moments create a pattern that either strengthens or weakens trust.

Accountability is another key part of this. When things do not go to plan, how you respond matters. Taking ownership, adjusting, and following through shows reliability. That is what builds credibility.

I also break down why pressure reveals trustworthiness. When things are easy, behaviour is less noticeable. But when challenges arise, people pay attention. Staying consistent under pressure reinforces trust at a much deeper level.

This builds on everything in the series so far. Values, standards, consistency, accountability, and influence all lead here. Because trust is what connects all of it and allows it to scale.

I also explain how to build trust from day one in a new environment. By focusing on reliability, clarity, and ownership early, you can create a strong foundation quickly.

And just as important, I cover why protecting trust matters. It can take time to build, but it can be weakened quickly through inconsistency. Maintaining awareness and standards helps preserve it.

If you want to be trusted, relied on, and given more responsibility, this episode will give you a clear and practical starting point.

Because trust is not built in big moments.

It is built in small actions, repeated over time.

  • How to Build Influence at Work or in Life (Without a Title or Authority)
    2026/04/30

Influence is not about titles, authority, or position.

    It is built through behaviour.

In this episode, I break down how influence is actually created in real environments, and why the most influential people are often not the ones with the most power.

A common question is what influence really means. It is not control. It is not status. It is the ability to affect how others think, act, and respond. And that comes from how you consistently show up.

I explain why influence is earned, not given. People do not follow titles for long. They respond to trust. And trust is built through reliability, consistency, and how you contribute over time.

So how does influence grow? It starts with simple behaviours. Following through. Communicating clearly. Doing what you say you will do. These actions create predictability, and predictability builds confidence.

Consistency plays a key role here. When your behaviour is steady, people know what to expect. That makes it easier for them to trust your input, support your ideas, and involve you in decisions. Inconsistent behaviour does the opposite. It creates doubt and limits your impact.

I also break down one of the fastest ways to build influence. Adding value. When your actions improve outcomes, support others, or solve problems, people notice. And over time, that contribution builds your reputation.

This connects directly to role modelling. The way you operate becomes a reference point for others. When you maintain standards, take ownership, and act with clarity, those behaviours begin to shape the environment around you.

This builds on everything in the series so far. Values, standards, consistency, accountability, and trust. Influence is the result of applying all of these over time.

Because your reputation is not built on what you intend to do.

It is built on what people consistently experience from you.

If you want to be trusted, taken seriously, and given more opportunities, this episode will give you a practical way to start.

Because influence is not something you wait for.

    It is something you build.

  • What Is Leadership Behaviour (And Why People Follow What You Do, Not What You Say)
    2026/04/28

    Leadership is not a title.
    It is not authority.
And it is not something you wait for.

In this episode, I break down what leadership behaviour actually means, and why it is the thing people respond to most.

A common question is when leadership really begins. Most people think it starts when responsibility is given. I explain why it actually starts much earlier, in how you act when there is no requirement to lead.

Leadership behaviour shows up in everyday situations. How you approach your work. How you interact with others. How you respond when things are not going to plan. These moments define how people experience you.

I also explain why people follow behaviour, not words. What you say matters far less than what you consistently demonstrate. People watch patterns. They notice what you repeat. And over time, they respond to that.

This is where role modelling becomes important. The way you operate sets expectations for others. When you demonstrate reliability, accountability, and clarity, those behaviours begin to spread. This is how standards are formed and culture develops.

Another key idea in this episode is simple but powerful. What you walk past is what you accept. What you ignore sends a signal. And that signal shapes what others believe is acceptable.

This builds directly on the previous episodes in the series. After understanding standards, consistency, accountability, trust, and influence, this is where it all becomes visible through behaviour.

Because leadership is not what you announce. It is what you consistently demonstrate.

I also break down how small actions compound over time. Following through, communicating clearly, maintaining standards. These behaviours may seem small, but they build trust, influence, and opportunity.

If you want to improve how you show up, influence others, and build credibility in any environment, this episode will give you a practical starting point.

Because leadership is not something you step into one day.

It is something you practise every day.
