A midnight phone call. An overdose. A father wondering how to keep loving when he can no longer rescue. Robert Ruesch joins me to share the deeply personal story behind The Long Road Home—a journey through adoption, identity, addiction, relapse, incarceration, and the painful lessons families learn along the way. Robert opens up about the difference between helping and enabling, what surrender looked like for him, and how prayer became his strongest weapon when everything felt out of his hands. This is a story about loving someone through addiction, trusting God in the unknown, and holding onto hope when the road home is long.
