Can music bring people of different faiths closer together?

In this episode of The Living Experiment, we speak with Dr. Faroque Kahn, Chairman of the Interfaith Institute of Long Island and Sohail Nabi, Patron Board Member Islamic Center of Long Island who conceived Sacred Harmony, a live musical performance celebrating music across faith traditions at the Brookville Church.

Our guests share the inspiration behind the concert and reflect on the power of music to connect people across religious and cultural differences. Their conversation explores how music can create opportunities for understanding, bring communities together, and remind us of the common threads that unite us.

At a time when differences can so easily divide us, Sacred Harmony offers a reminder that we can find connection through shared experiences, openness, and a willingness to listen to one another.

Join us for a conversation about music, faith, and the possibilities of coming together.

Rev. Vicky Eastland came to the Brookville Church in 2012 to serve as their Christian Pastor. Over the years, she worked in partnership with the New Synagogue of Long Island, The Muslim Renewal Community as well as the Interfaith Community of Long Island to foster the creation of the Brookville Multifaith Campus.

The Brookville Multifaith Campus is a diverse religious community that continues to bridge differences and emphasizes the importance of finding ways to connect all of us through tolerance, dignity, respect and understanding. This unique place is where The Living Experiment has been born from.
