  • How Your Self-Perception Shapes Your Weight Loss Decisions
    2026/06/01

When you think about your fitness journey, your weight loss process, or your experience using GLP-1 medications, how much of the struggle is actually connected to how you see yourself?

In this episode, I explore the connection between self-perception, confidence, and long-term success. While most fitness conversations focus on tactics like protein intake, workouts, and calorie deficits, there's another layer that often gets overlooked. The way you view yourself influences the actions you take, the decisions you make, and whether you believe you're capable of following through in the first place.

    We talk about:

How self-perception influences weight loss success

Why confidence and capability drive action

The difference between tactics and mindset

How social media encourages overly simplistic fitness advice

Why nuance matters more than absolutes

Learning to trust yourself instead of constantly searching for the next solution

The role of preferences in building a sustainable approach

Why many people already know more than they give themselves credit for

One of the biggest challenges in fitness and weight loss isn't a lack of information. Most people have spent years, if not decades, learning about diets, exercise, and weight management. The bigger challenge is learning to trust yourself enough to apply that knowledge in a way that fits your life.

This episode is a reminder that you're the expert on your own experiences, your preferences, and your day-to-day life. The more you learn to trust yourself, the more sustainable your approach becomes.

  • GLP-1 Success Can Create Unexpected Pressure
    2026/05/31

Are you feeling pressure to keep losing weight?

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m talking about something many people experience once they finally start seeing success with weight loss medications, the feeling that maybe they should just keep going.

Because when weight loss has been a major focus for years, sometimes decades, it can feel strange when the thing you always wanted finally starts happening.

    You may start asking yourself:

    What do I do now?

Where do I go from here?

How do I transition from weight loss into actual lifestyle building?

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why GLP-1 success can create emotional uneasiness

    • The pressure many people feel to continue losing weight indefinitely

    • Why long-term health conversations need nuance, not absolutes

    • Building an active lifestyle around your actual preferences

    • Learning to enjoy food without guilt or anxiety

    • The difference between using GLP-1 as a long-term tool versus an exit strategy

    • Why sustainable weight management requires more than dieting knowledge

I also share why so much of the fitness industry keeps people trapped in extremes and why I believe the real answer is learning how to build a forever active lifestyle that actually fits your life.

Because eventually the conversation becomes bigger than weight loss.

It becomes about how you want to live.

  • The Mental Tug of War After Weight Loss
    2026/05/30

Has your mind been able to catch up with your body yet?

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m talking about something that has existed in the weight loss space for decades, the disconnect between physical transformation and mental transformation.

Because even when the weight finally starts coming off, a lot of the deeper thoughts and feelings about who you are can still remain.

The food noise may be quieter.

    The scale may be changing.

    Your body may look different.

But the mental tug of war around body image, self-worth, and identity does not always disappear with the weight.

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why rapid weight loss can make emotional adjustment more difficult

    • How years of negative self-talk continue long after physical change

    • The importance of intentional reinforcement and self-awareness

    • Learning to redirect critical thoughts instead of spiraling deeper into them

    • Why building yourself up consistently matters during long-term change

    • The “Body Noise Challenge” and how mirror work can help reshape self-perception

I also share why I believe sustainable change requires more than physical results. It requires learning how to appreciate who you are while continuing to grow.

    Your body is changing.

Your mind needs time to catch up too.

  • What’s Your Biggest Struggle Right Now?
    2026/05/29

What’s your biggest struggle right now?

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m opening up the conversation and asking you to reflect on where you currently are in the process.

Because when you really step back and think about it, GLP-1 medications can impact so much more than just the scale.

    Your body changes.

    Your routines change.

    Your relationship with food changes.

    Your identity can change.

Even the way you emotionally process life can start to shift.

That is a lot for one person to navigate all at once.

In this episode, I talk about why these conversations around body image, body noise, identity, emotional eating, coping mechanisms, and long-term lifestyle change matter so much. I also share why I shifted this podcast into a daily format and why I believe these conversations need more depth, context, and honesty than what’s often presented in the fitness space.

This episode is shorter and more reflective, but the message is important.

I want to hear from you.

What are you struggling with right now?

    What is going well?

What changes are you noticing physically, mentally, or emotionally?

Because sustainable change is not just about actions. It is also about understanding yourself throughout the process.

  • Mourning the Version of You That Used Food to Cope
    2026/05/28

Food noise getting quieter can bring relief. But for some people, it can also uncover emotions they never expected to feel.

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m talking about the emotional side of food noise, emotional eating, and what happens when a coping mechanism that has been part of your life for years suddenly changes.

Are you mourning the way you used to eat?

Are you unpacking old habits without even realizing it?

What happens when food no longer has the same emotional pull it once did?

We dive into the way the fitness industry has traditionally framed emotional eating, why simply telling yourself “food is fuel” often does not solve the deeper issue, and why working through your emotions matters so much during major lifestyle and body changes.

    I also talk about:

    • The emotional void some people experience on GLP-1 medications

    • Why body image and identity can feel disconnected during weight loss

    • The importance of self-awareness during long-term change

    • Why emotional processing is a sign of strength, not weakness

    • How therapy, reflection, and patience can support long-term sustainability

This episode is about understanding the soft stuff underneath the actions. Because lasting change is not just physical. It is mental, emotional, and deeply personal too.

  • Are Weight Loss Medications Becoming Part of Supplement Culture?
    2026/05/27

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m talking about the future of weight loss medication, specifically the growing conversation around GLP-1 medications becoming available in pill form and what that could mean for the fitness industry, supplement culture, and the way people approach weight management.

As these medications become more mainstream and easier to access, there’s a bigger conversation that needs to happen around how they’re being viewed and used.

Will they become just another part of someone’s supplement stack? How will they intersect with biohacking culture, wearable technology, optimization trends, peptides, protein obsession, and the constant pressure to “maximize” results?

This episode is less about giving answers and more about encouraging awareness and thoughtful conversations.

I talk about why working with your doctor matters so much, why there is already an overwhelming amount of noise in the fitness industry, and why building a forever active lifestyle has to go beyond chasing optimization at all costs.

I also discuss the importance of building a lifestyle around your preferences, enjoying food without constant mental tug of war, and creating habits you actually want to maintain long term.

  • Why Men Struggle to Talk About GLP-1 Weight Loss
    2026/05/26

In this episode of Life During and After GLP-1, I’m speaking directly to the men navigating weight loss medication, body image, identity shifts, and the emotional side of trying to improve their health.

There’s a lot of messaging aimed at men around discipline, grit, toughness, pushing through, and tying self-worth to being ultra fit or constantly hustling.

Because of that, many men can end up feeling conflicted about using a GLP-1, even if it’s helping them improve their health and quality of life.

I talk about why asking for help is not weakness, why choosing a path with your doctor is actually a sign of self-awareness and strength, and how the mental and emotional side of weight loss deserves just as much attention as the physical side.

This episode also connects heavily to conversations around body image, vulnerability, self-worth, and emotional health for men.

I also share more about The Men’s Mental Health Series podcast, where I’ve spent years having conversations with men about emotions, vulnerability, body image, identity, and mental health.

  • You've Lost The Weight, Now What?
    2026/05/25

What does your normal day actually look like during and after GLP-1?

That’s the question we’re diving into in this episode, because no matter where you are in the process, starting, in the middle, or coming off, you still have to navigate your life.

One of the biggest challenges people run into is this. If weight loss has always been the goal, what happens when the weight is coming off? What’s the new driver? What’s the incentive to keep showing up?

This is where the shift happens.

In this episode, we talk about redefining how you see yourself, not just as someone trying to lose weight, but as someone who is building a lifestyle. Because the way you see yourself drives everything. Your habits, your actions, your consistency.

We also break down the difference between what’s being driven by the medication and what’s being driven by your own choices. Both exist, and learning how to navigate that is key.

This isn’t about doing things perfectly. It’s about building something you can actually live with long term. Appreciating where you are, and then deciding how you want to show up moving forward.
