It's been a crazy few months, and we've heard from many of you that the mental weight of everything going on in the world feels like A LOT. We're feeling that, too. And sometimes, with all the stresses of family life, work, community and church responsibilities, and everything else, the added weight of the state of our society can be too much. How can we manage that? How can we be informed, engaged citizens, and still maintain our mental and emotional health? That's the topic for today on this episode of the Let's Talk Sis podcast. Dehumanization -- depriving someone of human qualities, personality, or dignity because of perceived differences -- has been responsible for the some of the darkest chapters in the history of the world. How do we root out this significant societal problem from our communities? It begins with each one of us rooting it out of our own hearts. As we lean in, get closer, and try to understand the unique lived experiences of each person, we begin to see their choices in new light, and we can't help but discover a renewed sense of respect. In 2025, as we see dehumanizing viewpoints and actions creating hurt and difficulty for many across the United States, it's vital that we lean in, learn from the past, and see eachother for what we truly are: human beings, all created equal.
