    The Earthquake I Completely Missed! | Arkansas Earthquake — October 17, 2026Well, apparently, the ground moved here in western Arkansas Saturday afternoon.And I missed the whole dang thing!On October 17, 2026, at approximately 4:47 p.m., a magnitude 2.1 earthquake was recorded about 10.7 miles southwest of Saint Paul, Arkansas.I didn't feel it. Didn't hear anything. Didn't even know it happened until I saw a Facebook post about it the next day.But that got me asking some questions.Why does Arkansas have earthquakes? What causes them?
