    Life or Death: The Secret to Closing Fortune 100s

    Your closing process in a nutshell:

    Think of yourself like an ER doctor where the patient presents

    He’s got cardiac arrest, a sprained ankle, a broken toe, a gash in his right arm, and bleeding from his forehead.

    Triage. Focus on the High-Variance shit first, then everything else.

    You know it’s life or death - the patient’s life or death is in your hands.

    But here’s the Twist.

    The patient is rolled in and accompanied by his Mother in Law, who has all sorts of questions and shall we call them OBJECTIONS.

    She’s heard all sorts of things about the potential side effects of your resuscitation techniques.

    She heard they may cause migraines or autism.

    And here’s the knife turn.

    Turns out it’s a Munchausen by proxy patient.

    Meaning: the Mother in Law has been poisoning the patient for weeks now, which led to his sudden heart failure.

    Life or Death is extremely clarifying.

    The fact that an investor or customer booked a call on your calendar

    Is akin to

    Intake at the ER

    Once the patient is wheeled in

    Your hippocratic oath as attending physician kicks into play.

    Your job is not to judge them as incapable of paying or affording to save their (or their business’) life.

    Your job is not to indulge them in their fear based excuses (inconsequential side effects of life saving intervention).

    Your job is simple: SAVE THEIR LIFE. (Their business’ life.)
