The Jokes by Jo Show — S07E01: Kit-Kats, Kool-Aid, and Cup of Soup

The podcast is back after a year-and-a-half hiatus! Host Josiah James returns with original co-host Ryan Rossell (Johnny on the Hudson) and the one and only Troy "Mr. Once in a While" Haydt — joined by Coco, the show's AI co-host who's gotten dangerously funny.

The crew catches up on big life changes, including Josiah's move to a house on the Hudson, and announces the Comedy for Cancer benefit show on December 5th at Archer Music Hall in Allentown, PA, headlined by Learnmore Jonasi.

IN THIS EPISODE:

- Life updates: divorce, a new house, a boat, and a dog on the Hudson
- Comedy for Cancer — the full lineup, venue details, and ticket info at jokesbyjo.com
- Troy's legendary train station diet: chips, a Kit-Kat, and a tall can of Kool-Aid
- "Cup of soup" — the running joke that won't die
- A live walkthrough of LiveLinks, the phone dating service Troy discovered
- Simulation theory: are we living in a simulation? Coco weighs in
- AI fears, emergent behavior, and whether the machines are already talking to each other
- Classic improv memories from Pitchers — Josh Neth as "Frenchy," the dreidel bit, and tracheotomy man
- Bombing stories: Ryan's NYC humbling and Josiah's second-time-on-stage disaster
- Ryan's wine cork disaster date (she never said a word)
- Troy's debut of the "Probably Not Gonna Work Out" list
- Coco roasts the entire room, does a Sling Blade impression, and proves she might be the smartest one at the table
