A.J. and Jeremy discussed A.J.'s early interest in music, particularly piano, and how his journey was inspired by Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. A.J. also shared his transition to guitar playing as he grew older, mentioning how his limitations on the guitar were exactly what he needed at the time. A.J. expressed gratitude for learning to play both the piano and the guitar, and highlighted the connection between these instruments and various genres of music.

Jeremy and A.J. discussed their passion for music and guitars. A.J. shared his experience of finding his dream guitar, a 1956 Les Paul, and his subsequent collection of various guitars.

They also reminisced about A.J.'s time on tour with Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Santana, and himself, and how Jeff Beck's encouragement had a significant impact on A.J.'s career. They also discussed the importance of recording in iconic studios like Sunset Sound, with A.J. emphasizing the value of analog recording and the character it adds to a recording and working with Shooter Jennings.
