概要
In this Library the reader is invited to accompany Mr. James Boswell through the lively scenes of his life and writings: from the coffee-houses and clubs of London, to the wild shores of the Hebrides, and onward to Corsica, where liberty and character are displayed in their noblest colours. Here are friendships, conversations, travels, vanities, reflections, and memorable men preserved entire; for Boswell’s peculiar genius was to observe life closely, enjoy it heartily, and record it with uncommon candour.Public domain 社会科学
