People put their hope in all kinds of things for various deliverances. They put hope in their money for financial deliverance. They put their hope in the gym for physical deliverance from poor health. (not a bad idea though). They put their hope in people for support.

All of these are okay but not permanent or guaranteed to help. But there is one place to put hope and that for the greatest deliverance of all. All of those other ones had to do with time but this one has to do with eternity.

Where can I put my hope to guarantee a safe and enjoyable forever? That's what this message is about and worth sharing with someone who also needs this hope.

What is it that keeps the ship steady in the storm? It is the anchor. It digs into the bottom of the sea and secures the vessel. The wind above blows the ship but the anchor holds true.

What is it that keeps the believer steady in the storm? It is the anchor. but what is the anchor? It is Hope. The Greek word for hope is elpis which means confident expectation. That is what we have when we put our hope in Jesus Christ. It is not a wish or a desire but a confident expectation.

Let hope be your anchor in the storm as you learn how Jesus will keep you steady when the winds of adversity are blowing against you.
