From a childhood of chaos and hardship to battling addiction, trauma and personal loss, I’ve walked through some of life’s darkest moments and come out the other side with perspective, resilience and a deep respect for truth.

Today, as the host of Honest and Open Conversations, I use my lived experience and an unfiltered approach to create space for real stories and voices that need to be heard. I sit down with everyday Aussies, bold thinkers, and thought leaders to talk about the things others shy away from because I believe the uncomfortable conversations are the ones that matter most.

  • I'm Drawing a Line in the Sand. The Storm Is Coming.
    2026/07/16

I'm digging in. My country, Australia, is worth fighting for. I'm drawing a line in the sand, right here, right now. You vultures can circle this country all you want, but you're not picking its bones while I've still got breath in my lungs. #HonestAndOpenConversations #Australia #Freedom #TheStormIsComing #StandTall

  • The Soundtrack of Australia 30 Songs That Define Our Soul
    2026/07/15

In this powerful episode of Honest and Open Conversations, we count down the 30 most culturally significant Australian songs** that have shaped our identity, captured our spirit, and united generations of Australians.

From backyard barbies and the roar of the MCG to Bathurst, ANZACs, and life in the bush, these songs are more than music. They're part of the soundtrack of Australia. They reflect our values of mateship, resilience, humour, sacrifice, and our deep connection to this land.

We also examine the cultural cringe that has plagued Australia for decades: the idea that our music, traditions, and culture are somehow inferior to those from overseas. This episode rejects that notion and celebrates the richness of our own cultural heritage.

This isn't a countdown based on record sales or chart success. Every song has been chosen for its cultural significance, the story it tells, and how powerfully it reflects the Australian spirit.

From **Cold Chisel's *Khe Sanh*** and **Redgum's *I Was Only Nineteen*** to **Hunters & Collectors' *Holy Grail*** and **Peter Allen's *I Still Call Australia Home***, we explore the stories behind these iconic songs and why they've become woven into the fabric of Australian life.

In a world that constantly encourages us to look elsewhere for our identity, these songs remind us that Australia already has a culture worth celebrating, protecting, and passing on to future generations.

This is more than a music countdown. It's a journey through the heart and soul of Australia, and an invitation to rediscover the pride, character, and spirit that make this country unique.

So, turn it up loud and join the conversation.

What song would you add to the list? Which of these 30, best reflects your Australian story? Let us know in the comments and be part of the conversation.

  • I Was Called Racist For Defending Australian Culture
    2026/07/14

I posted a photo and was called a racist to a Neanderthal and told to give up the podcast. What's clear to me is that most people commenting don't actually understand what Australian culture is. And that is disgusting. #HonestAndOpenConversations #AustralianCulture #Australia #FreeSpeech #Mateship
