What do you do when life suddenly gets hard?

Maybe you receive devastating news about your health or someone you love. Maybe your marriage is struggling. Maybe you thought you found your dream job, only to discover it’s a nightmare. Or maybe you’ve lost your job and don’t know what comes next.

In Episode 57 of The Rookie Christian, we look at the Holy Spirit’s power when facing difficult seasons in life.

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, even when we don’t know what to pray. We’ll look at what Scripture says about trusting God, finding peace in the middle of difficult circumstances, dealing with fear and anger, and continuing to walk by faith when we don’t understand what God is doing.

We’ll turn to passages including Romans 8, John 14, Galatians 5, 2 Timothy 1, Proverbs 3, and James 1 to understand how the Holy Spirit helps us through the storms of life.

Sometimes God changes the circumstances.

Sometimes He changes us in the middle of them.

But either way, we don’t have to walk through difficult seasons alone.

The Holy Spirit is with us.
