We talk to novelist, screenwriter and Creative Writing academic Max Kinnings about all things Rik. Listeners might be familiar with Max from his work with Rik on his 2006 Bigger Than Hitler, Better Than Christ book, and the 2024 BBC Four documentary Rik Mayall - Panglobal Phenomenon.

The conversation covers:

- How the 2025 (and upcoming 2026) Rik Fest is a testament to the legacy he has left

- Max's work on the 2006 book and 2024 Panglobal Phenomenon - especially turning hours of archived recorded conversations with Rik into the documentary

- The longevity of Bottom and it's ability to draw in new and younger audiences

- Rik's own longevity and legacy

In the latest episode of the Podcast Katie and I are joined by Michelin star chef Tom Brown. We caught up with Tom at his restaurant - Pearly Queen in Shoreditch - to chat all things Bottom.

As ever we discuss all things Bottom, including Tom's earliest memories of the show, his favourite episodes quotes and moments, and how prominent a role food plays in many of the episodes of the show.

We also discuss Tom's other comedy favourites and the opening of his new restaurant Tom Brown at The Capital.

Tom is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable Bottom fans we've had the pleasure of meeting on the podcast so sit back and enjoy some top class Bottom chat.

I am joined on the podcast once again by my brilliant co-host Katie Lingo and we were thrilled to host another returning Hammersmith Hardmen favourite in the form of the wonderful Helen Lederer.

In this episode we cover:

- What to expect from the new version of Helen's book

- The challenges and experiences of females in comedy

- Advice from Helen for any aspiring comedians

- Our appearances at the forthcoming Rik Mayall Comedy Festival in June
