The Habits of a Healthy Church
Acts 2:41-47
1. Reach – Evangelize our mission field.
From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.
Luke 12:48 (NASB)
2. Gather – Exalt our Master.
Oh come, let us sing to the LORD;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
Psalm 95:1–2 (ESV)
3. Develop – Equip for Maturity.
All Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 (CSB)
4. Serve – Engage in Ministry.
Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10 (CSB)
5. Connect –Encourage our Members
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV)
