What began as a consensual encounter on Grindr turned into a meticulously planned trap hours beforehand: searches for cannibalism, purchase of a sharp knife, a false identity constructed for hunting. How did a predator with multiple prior reports remain free?
In this episode, we explore the ignored signals that led to the tragedy: archived reports from victims who escaped the basement, a dismissed minor kidnapping in 2013, and the contradictions that emerged in court between an alleged "mental incompetence" and the flawless execution of a criminal plan. Mark Lonski (also known as Edgar Thomas Hill) spent decades among neighbors, a wife, and children while the system let him go time and again.
