In this message, The Great Commission, we explore Jesus' final command to His followers in Matthew 28:19–20 to go and make disciples of all nations. This sermon challenges believers to see the Great Commission not as a distant mission reserved for pastors or missionaries, but as a calling for every follower of Christ. Sharing the gospel begins with love, flows through our everyday lives, and starts with the people closest to us.
Through Scripture and practical application, this message reminds us that our homes, workplaces, friendships, and communities are all mission fields. Disciple-making isn't meant to be an occasional event; it's a lifestyle lived “as we are going” through our daily routines. When we pray for others, share our testimony, speak the truth of the gospel, and invite people into Christian community, we participate in God's mission to reach the world.
Ultimately, The Great Commission calls us to respond like Isaiah: “Here I am, Lord, send me.” Each believer has influence in places others may never reach, and God invites us to faithfully use that influence to bring the hope of Christ to those around us.
