The Get Clear Beauty Podcast dives inside the world of aesthetic treatments with the injectors, surgeons, dermatologists, and PMU artists behind them. Each episode covers one treatment: what it does, what to expect, and the questions patients ask most. Hosted by Danielle Fewings, founder of Get Clear Beauty, the price transparency marketplace for aesthetic treatments.

Every episode focuses on a single treatment, from Botox and filler to microneedling, laser, body contouring, and surgical procedures. You will hear how a treatment actually works, who it is right for, what recovery looks like, and how much it typically costs. By the end of each episode, you should understand the treatment well enough to walk into a consultation feeling empowered.

The conversations are short and direct, usually around fifteen to twenty minutes, so as to not overwhelm you with information. Whether you are researching your first appointment or you have been getting treatments for years, these episodes give you straight answers from the people who perform them.

New episodes release every week. Be sure to follow @getclearbeauty on Instagram and TikTok to learn more about your favorite aesthetic treatments! You can also find a provider near you at www.getclearbeauty.com.

  • How to Tell If Your Consultation Is Actually a Sales Pitch
    2026/09/09

Rachel V-Rey is a nurse practitioner with 25 years in medicine, from oncology to emergency care to aesthetics, and she runs 2Restore & Rejuven8 as a concierge service that comes to you around Tampa.

She explains how to tell a medical consultation from a sales floor, why your first visit should open with an intake form instead of a package list, and what to ask about an injector's training when there is no single certification to look for.

    We also cover:

    • Why your full medical history decides which treatments you're eligible for, even for something as routine as Botox
    • What the red flags are behind an unusually cheap Botox deal, including expired or long-reconstituted product
    • How much one syringe of filler actually covers, and why she describes it as the size of a blueberry
    • Why naming your real budget works better than hunting for a discount
    • What commission and sales quotas can do to the treatment you're offered
    • The questions you're entitled to ask, and why a good provider wants to hear them

  • The Gateway Surgery: Breast Reduction Scars, Sizing, and What It Really Costs
    2026/09/02

Danielle calls her breast reduction her gateway surgery. Thirteen years later she is still calling it the best thing she ever did for herself. In this episode she sits down with Dr. Sean Doherty, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Boston, to go through it properly.

He explains what actually happens in the operating room, and why a reduction always includes a lift whether or not anyone calls it that. He is candid about scars: where they go, what makes one thick and raised rather than fine, and everything that can be done about them starting two weeks after surgery. About half of how you scar is genetics, which is the part no surgeon can promise around.

On insurance, he explains the Schnur scale and why an insurer is looking at a number rather than at you — and why starting with your primary care physician, years before you ever see a surgeon, is what builds the case. He also explains why some women choose to pay themselves even when they would qualify.

We cover sizing and why surgeons talk in grams while patients talk in cup sizes, what happens to nipple sensation and breastfeeding, what recovery really looks like week by week, and who should not have this surgery at all — including anyone using nicotine pouches, which carry the same risk as cigarettes.

On cost, Dr. Doherty gives a real number for his practice and, more usefully, names the three separate fees you should be asking about so a quoted price is not hiding two more.

Dr. Doherty practices in the greater Boston area.

  • Why We Won't Touch Under-Eye Filler: PRF EZ Gel, Explained
    2026/08/26

Under-eye filler has quietly become one of the most regretted treatments in aesthetics. Julia and her colleague, also Julia, do not offer it at all — and they will not dissolve it either. In this episode she explains why, and what they do instead.

PRF EZ Gel is made entirely from your own blood. Two vials are drawn, spun, gently heated and cooled until it takes on the consistency of a filler, then injected through a single entry point with a cannula. There is no synthetic material in it, which is the whole point: the risks that make the under-eye area so unforgiving with traditional filler work differently when the product is your own tissue.

Julia walks through what PRF actually is and how it differs from the PRP everyone knows, what it can do for hollows, crepey skin and dark circles, and what it realistically cannot. She is straight about the parts nobody advertises — swelling is guaranteed, it takes three sessions four to six weeks apart, and the final result arrives four to six weeks after the last one. She also covers who should not have it, including anyone on blood thinners, and why they turn people away rather than talk them into it.

On price, she explains why it is sold as a package rather than a single session, and how it compares to filler over time.

Let's Heal Your Skin is in Tottenville, Staten Island. They see one client at a time.
