For most of human history, Earth believed it was alone. Then the discovery of an ancient ring beneath the sands of Egypt revealed a network of gateways connecting thousands of worlds—and drew humanity into a secret interstellar war. The Gate Historian chronicles that conflict from the first mission to Abydos and the founding of Stargate Command through the wars against the Goa’uld, Replicators, Ori, Wraith, and other enemies capable of threatening entire galaxies. Each episode approaches the Stargate universe as military history, examining its campaigns, commanders, weapons, alliances, intelligence operations, technologies, and strategic decisions. Follow the rise of the Tau’ri from an isolated and technologically primitive planet to a major interstellar power, explore the missions of SG teams operating far beyond Earth, and discover how soldiers, scientists, diplomats, and explorers changed the balance of power across the stars. The series covers the original Stargate film, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe. The Gate Historian is an independent, unofficial fan-produced podcast and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon MGM Studios or the owners of the Stargate franchise.2026 Trackpads.com SF アート

  • Who Really Won the Stargate Wars?
    2026/08/21
No single faction won all of the Stargate wars. Earth survived repeated attempts at conquest, destroyed or outlasted its greatest enemies, and rose from one buried gate to an intergalactic fleet. The Free Jaffa broke Goa’uld rule and gained political independence, while the Tok’ra, Asgard, Athosians, and other allies shaped victories no human force could have achieved alone. Yet the results remained incomplete. The Wraith still dominated much of Pegasus, the Free Jaffa struggled to build stable government, the Asgard chose extinction, and Destiny’s crew entered stasis with its mission unresolved. This episode asks whether victory should be measured through territory, survival, liberation, technological inheritance, or the defeat of an ideology. The Goa’uld and Ori lost their imperial systems, but the wars left new rivalries and responsibilities behind. Humanity’s clearest victory was not final dominance. It was earning the ability—and obligation—to participate in the future of multiple galaxies. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.

  • The Battle for Destiny: Mutiny, Boarding, and Split Command
    2026/08/21
The Battle for Destiny began when Lucian Alliance forces dialed the ninth-chevron address, boarded through the gate, and seized key sections of the Ancient ship. Commander Kiva used hostages and superior preparation to challenge Colonel Young’s authority, while compromised intelligence and divided loyalties undermined the defenders from within. This episode examines the crisis as a battle of corridors, systems, and competing command structures rather than a conventional fleet engagement. Neither faction could safely destroy the other because Destiny’s failing life support, shields, and navigation required skills held across both groups. External radiation danger intensified the confrontation and forced temporary cooperation even as executions and counterattacks continued. Kiva’s fall did not immediately restore order; Alliance leaders disagreed over surrender, survival, and revenge. The eventual resolution left former boarders imprisoned or gradually integrated aboard the ship. Destiny remained under Young’s command, but the battle proved that control depended on technical cooperation as much as possession of the gate room. • The Battle of Asuras: Coalition Warfare Against the Replicators
    2026/08/21
The Battle of Asuras required Atlantis to build a coalition from powers that distrusted one another but feared the Asuran war machine more. Earth battlecruisers, Traveler vessels, and Wraith hives attacked a planet defended by Ancient-style ships, drone weapons, and a nanite population capable of rebuilding enormous losses. This episode examines the battle plan developed around FRAN, a human-form Replicator created to enter the Asuran network and command its nanites to converge. While the allied fleet held off Asuran warships, nanite material across the planet moved toward one location, creating a mass that eventually collapsed inward and destroyed Asuras. The operation succeeded through technical insight and coordinated pressure rather than simple bombardment. It also depended on temporary partners whose long-term goals remained incompatible. The Wraith wanted a rival exterminated, the Travelers wanted survival, and Atlantis wanted to end attacks on human worlds. Coalition warfare won the battle without creating a stable postwar order in Pegasus. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
