Stephen was a long way from his forest home and getting further away from the zoo. Leanne was in hot pursuit. She was confident she could find him as long as he wanted to be found.

Leanne searches outside the zoo to find Stephen. Its a big world out there and a long way from his forest home. Just how far away can he be?

Glenys the kangaroo stumbles across evidence that Stephen has escaped from the zoo. She alerts the others and blames herself. Brian comforts her with a song. "Don't Worry"

Stephen has made up his mind to leave the zoo and return to his forest. This is a big challenge for an echidna who is quite possibly the least equipped to escape out of all the animals. Stephen biggest asset isn't under his nose, it is his nose!

Even the shock of finding a human in the zoo won't keep Kevin the koala awake enough to help look for his best mate Stephen. He does however put a lot of energy into explaining how much he likes doing nothing!

Stephen's dilemma brings the mood down a bit so Brian takes Leanne to see Charlie the kookaburra. Bad jokes and frivolity disguise a much deeper character. The kookaburra has always been recognized as a messenger with deep connections to a more mystical time.

Having met a wombat named Brian Leanne is introduced to a kangaroo named Glenys and an echidna named Stephen. Stephen is a recent acquisition to the zoo brought in after his habitat was destroyed by the clearing of the land for a housing estate. He hasn't adjusted to living in captivity yet.

Two sisters Leanne and Poppy had gone to the zoo with their father this day and noticed all the Australian native animals asleep or lethargic! They also noticed some large animals that looked like they could use some more space. Leanne wanted to talk about her concern for the animals but Poppy just wanted to sleep.
