  • Making Space for: Surface Self Care VS Deep Self Care
    2025/03/24

The idea of “surface self-care” versus “true self-care” is powerful. So often we see self-care presented as a quick fix: a spa day, some skincare, or a cup of tea. But those are just the surface layers, and true self-care is about the deeper, ongoing practices that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

I think the idea of self-worth is key here too—if we don’t build it from within, those surface-level acts may not fulfill us in the long run. In this video, I’ll walk you through the difference between surface-level self-care (think spa days or skin treatments) and true self-care that nourishes your body, mind, and soul. We’ll dive into four key areas of self-care that I’m prioritizing right now:

💰 Financial Health – Taking control of your finances to reduce stress and feel empowered.

❤️ Emotional Health – Setting boundaries, prioritizing mental well-being, and practicing self-compassion.

💪 Physical Health – Moving your body and making mindful, fulfilling choices.

🧠 Cognitive Health – Challenging your mind and staying curious through reading and learning.

If you’re in your 50s or beyond, I’m especially talking to you! But if you’re younger, stick around—this advice is timeless and could change the way you approach self-care for years to come. By the end of this video, you’ll have three actionable areas to reflect on in your own life. It’s time to elevate your self-worth and take your self-care game to the next level.

  • Making Space For: Softer Goal Setting and Quiet Goals
    2025/03/17

I don't make hard and fast new year's resolutions. I do make goals, set intentions and try live my days dong things that take me closer to how I want to feel, or toward how I see my future. It's not easy. One of the ways I do this is to have a monthly intention.

I talk about that on my YouTube Channel HERE

Small goals and intentions can go a long way towards higher self esteem, less stress, and feeling more yourself in midlife. View and copy my FREE monthly goal planning - intention setting sheet here:
