  • Heartache and Loss
    2026/10/20

The Lama graces us with a teaching about how loss and heartache can reveal the impermanence of life and the limits of seeking lasting fulfillment in ever-changing experiences. He points out the distinction between temporary appearances and an underlying, unchanging reality, and the shift from identifying with a separate self to recognizing reality.

    Thank You

Thank you for the teachings that burned

Thank you for the blessings that stung

Thank you for the grace of knowing loss

Thank you for the grace of knowing loss

    In my heart

    There is no more room

For the image of a stranger

Love's meaning is an immanence of adventure

HeartBreak is the intimation of closeness

Love and HeartBreak, Her gifts to the hallowed

Love and HeartBreak, Her gifts to the hallowed

    In my heart

    There is no more room

For the image of a stranger

My life is a slow reveling mystery - joy from pain

You too long to see as you have been seen

Your life, like mine, is made from infinity lost

Kiss Her, your Heart will have no more room

For the image of a stranger

  • Pure Dharma is the Only Joy
    2026/09/28

In this conversation, t.k. talks about pure Dharma as the deepest source of joy, contrasting ordinary pleasures with the quieter pleasures of the heart and mind that arise through prayer, meditation, contemplative silence, and divine union. He also discusses how longing for these deeper joys can make other attractions lose their force, and how spiritual practice can move from feeling difficult to becoming a source of nourishment, stillness, and joy.

He contrasts spiritual pleasures with the repeated highs of worldly attachment, recognizing that contemplative practice tends to deepen and revitalize rather than diminish. He also speaks about devotion, love, and freedom, saying that authentic devotion frees us and that pure Dharma remains our highest joy beyond family, status, or ordinary pleasures.

  • Wisdom & Love
    2026/07/03

Thanks and praises to the Lama for gracing us with another teaching!

In this conversation, t.k. explains the Vajrayana and Dzogchen view of wisdom and love as inseparable qualities of awareness. Wisdom is described as open emptiness beyond concepts, while love is described as the clear, warm radiance that arises from that openness.

Rinpoche also distinguishes ordinary mind from the nature of mind, describing mind as conceptual and identity-based, and nature of mind as luminous openness in which appearances arise. Several analogies are used to show how perception constructs subject and object, while realization reveals non-duality and the equal nature of appearances.

In the final part, Rinpoche discusses pure view and the Guru -- that all appearances are expressions of Buddha nature and that devotion is recognition of wisdom rather than sentimental attachment. The Guru is presented as precious for their role on the path and ultimately identified with awareness itself.
