このコンテンツについて

The Focus Fitness Challenge is a mental and physical fitness program created as a way to help people practice self care and self love. My father (Jim Duignan) and I (Cass Duignan) made it through about 60 days of the 75 Hard before realizing that we wanted forge our own path in creating a mental and physical health-based program. If you have struggled with balance, body image, eating healthy, prioritizing yourself, anxiety, depression, working too much (or too little), doing things you enjoy, and in general have neglected to provide yourself with the time you deserve to take care of yourself, this program may help you. We do not help you, this program helps you help yourself. Bear with us as we provide you with new content as we are finishing up building our program site in the fall of 2021. Once it is complete, we will start building our online community and forum along with member-only daily videos. Our podcast episodes and written articles will remain free, but we are looking to officially launch our paid program and website January of 2022. To be clear, we are not a weight loss program or diet program. We are here to spread accurate and helpful information, and to help you find ways to improve your mental and physical fitness without the stress that normally comes along with the typical diet and exercise programs! • Episode 2: Small Wins...The Only Way Forward
    2021/08/07

Today we talk about small steps and why and how they are so important.  It is less important what exactly we are working towards and more about the fact that we are progressing.

Many, many people want to be fit.  But few have found a way to define what they, in their hearts, believe fitness is.  My Dad, Jim, and I have been working hard this past year to define what great fitness means to us, and to find a way to help others help themselves work towards better mental and physical fitness.  Health does not equal losing weight.  It does not equal big muscles, or perfectly clean eating, being happy all the time, a flat stomach, perfect balance...no.

Health, and better physical and mental fitness, means baby steps.  It means realizing that going backwards does not exist.  That taking 1-2 months to stop worrying about your weight and about a diet and about perfection (AKA - healing) is often what we need in order to prepare ourselves for getting stronger and smarter.  To grow from within.  No amount of what are perceived as “missed days” of your meal plan or workout plan can ever put you backwards in your journey.

Today, we talk about moving ahead and what that currently means to you. We talk about why most diets and exercise do not work, and why a program like ours can be a better fit for you.
