Jesus said that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to a mountain, move, and it will move. That verse gets quoted constantly, on merch, in sermons, on Instagram captions. But is it actually true, or is it one of the most misused and misunderstood verses in the entire Bible? In this episode of Questions That Matter, we ask whether the popular Christian phrase "with faith, anything is possible" is a genuine biblical promise or a feel good half truth that sets people up for disappointment and doubt.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has removed gestational limits and restrictions on abortion after 24 weeks, leaving the decision entirely up to a provider's discretion. There is no longer a clear legal line for when an abortion can be performed in Massachusetts. In this episode of Questions That Matter, we ask the question most people are too afraid to answer honestly: where should the line actually be drawn on when it is acceptable to end a pregnancy, and what does it mean when a state removes that line completely?

This episode covers the Massachusetts abortion law change, the ongoing debate over late term abortion and viability, and the deeper theological and moral question underneath all of it, namely when human life begins and what value that life carries under the law. We are not approaching this as a political talking point. Scripture speaks directly to the value and personhood of life in the womb. Psalm 139:13 says that God formed our inward parts and knitted us together in our mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5 says that before God formed us in the womb, He knew us. These are not vague poetic statements. They are direct claims about personhood, identity, and value existing before birth, and they matter enormously when a state government removes any legal boundary on how late an abortion can be performed.

We also unpack the difference between the medical exception cases that are almost always used to justify removing gestational limits, and the much broader legal reality of what removing those limits actually allows once the law changes. Provider discretion sounds compassionate on the surface, but it also means there is no longer an enforceable line protecting a viable, late term, developing baby.
