Russia has outlawed Satanism. America has invited it into public schools, city council meetings, and televised award shows. In this episode of Questions That Matter, The Final Watch crew asks a question that should make every believer stop and think: is Satanism actually spreading in the West, or has it simply stopped hiding?

In July 2025, Russia's Supreme Court declared what it called the international Satanism movement an extremist organization and banned it nationwide, following a push led by Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church. Since then, Russian courts have fined and detained people for posting pentagrams, inverted crosses, Baphomet imagery, and even the number 666.

Here in America, the Satanic Temple has sponsored After School Satan clubs in public schools. Satanists have delivered invocations to open city council and government meetings. Satanic monuments and displays have been placed alongside nativity scenes in state capitols. And the entertainment industry has gone from hiding occult symbolism in music videos to staging openly satanic performances on live television in front of millions of viewers, complete with horns, flames, and red-lit choreography that celebrates the devil by name.

So what is really going on? In this episode we break down the difference between the Satanic Temple, which claims to be an atheist activist group that does not believe in a literal Satan, and theistic Satanism, which openly worships him. We ask whether that distinction even matters when the symbols, the rituals, and the spiritual doors being opened are the same. Scripture is clear that idolatry is never neutral. 1 Corinthians 10:20 says that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. Leviticus 19:31 warns not to turn to mediums or necromancers. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 calls occult practice an abomination to the Lord. You do not have to believe in the devil for him to use you.

We also talk about why this moment feels so different. For decades the occult operated in the shadows. Now it markets itself as freedom, rebellion, self-empowerment, and religious liberty. Isaiah 5:20 warned of a day when people would call evil good and good evil. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. And 2 Timothy 3 describes the last days as a time when people would be lovers of self, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness while denying its power. When darkness no longer feels the need to hide, that tells you something about the spiritual temperature of a nation.

We wrestle with the hard questions on both sides. Is Russia's ban a genuine defense of faith, or a political tool used to crush dissent and persecute anyone the state dislikes? Should Christians in America want the government to ban Satanism, or does that open the door to the same laws eventually being used against the church? How do we defend religious freedom without pretending that all spiritual allegiances are equal?

Most importantly, we talk about how believers should respond. Not with panic, not with fascination, and not with silence. Ephesians 5:11 tells us to take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead to expose them. James 4:7 tells us to submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee. And 1 John 4:4 reminds us that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. The rise of open Satanism is not a reason to fear. It is a reason to wake up, pray harder, raise our children with discernment, and shine brighter.

The Cornell case has taken over the internet, and it has done something few news stories ever do. It has split men and women into opposing camps, each convinced the other side is the enemy. In this episode of Questions That Matter, The Final Watch crew asks the question almost nobody online is asking: is the war over the Cornell 7 case being weaponized to turn men and women against each other, and who is actually in the wrong?

The facts at the center of this story are serious and still unresolved. A female Cornell University student alleges she was drugged and sexually assaulted by seven fraternity members at a Chi Phi house in October 2024. Prosecutors declined to bring charges at the time, the university handled it through its own disciplinary process, and two years later the case exploded back into national headlines after a civil lawsuit was filed and the case was reopened for criminal review. No one has been convicted of a crime, and the full truth has not yet come out in a court of law.

But the online reaction has turned into something far bigger than the case itself. Celebrities and activists have called it proof of a rape culture that men refuse to confront. On the other side, influencers and commentators have called it proof that women cannot be trusted and that a single accusation can destroy a man's life. People are demanding the accuser be shamed, and people are demanding the accused be ruined. Women are being pressured to pick a side to prove their loyalty. Men are being told every woman is a threat. And the algorithm rewards every bit of it.

In this episode we step back and look at what is really happening. Is the male versus female divide we are seeing online organic, or is it being amplified, monetized, and pushed until men and women see each other as adversaries instead of partners? Who benefits when young men and young women stop trusting each other, stop dating, stop marrying, and stop building families? We talk about how outrage culture, gender war content, and social media engagement farming are reshaping how an entire generation thinks about the opposite sex.

We also refuse to dodge the hard part. If the allegations are true, this is grievous evil and the guilty deserve justice. If they are false, then real men are being destroyed by a mob. Scripture speaks to both. Proverbs 18:17 warns that the one who states his case first seems right until another comes and examines him. Deuteronomy 19:15 requires that every matter be established by two or three witnesses. Exodus 23:1-2 commands us not to spread a false report or follow a crowd in doing wrong. At the same time, God hates the abuse of the vulnerable, and Micah 6:8 calls us to do justice and love mercy. Christians are not called to join the mob on either side. We are called to love truth.

We dig into the deeper root of it all. The sexual revolution promised freedom and delivered confusion, pain, and broken trust between the sexes. Hookup culture, alcohol-soaked party scenes, and a world with no shared definition of consent or covenant are not neutral. Galatians 6:7 reminds us that whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. God's design in Genesis 2 was for man and woman to be partners, one flesh, made to complement and protect one another, not to compete and destroy each other.

So who is actually in the wrong? We wrestle with the accused, the accuser, the institutions, the media, the influencers, and the culture that produced all of it. And we ask whether the real enemy in this story is not a man or a woman at all, but the one who has always worked to divide what God joined together. As Ephesians 6:12 says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.

Who actually runs the world, and what is the synagogue of Satan? Not the version you get from the news, and not the version you get from the conspiracy rabbit holes, but what the Bible says about the power behind the powers. In this episode of Questions That Matter, The Final Watch crew goes straight to Scripture to answer one of the most searched questions of our generation.

Look at the world right now and it is hard to believe nobody is steering it. Wars nobody voted for. Institutions that once stood for truth now pushing agendas the average person never asked for. People point to the elites, the Illuminati, the Freemasons, the World Economic Forum, the central banks, the deep state, and the billionaire class. Scripture gives an answer that is more sobering than any of those theories, and it is one most pulpits will not touch.

The Bible says the world system is under the influence of a real spiritual ruler. Jesus called Satan the ruler of this world in John 12:31, John 14:30, and John 16:11. Paul called him the god of this age who has blinded the minds of unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 4:4, and the prince of the power of the air in Ephesians 2:2. John wrote that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one in 1 John 5:19. In Luke 4:5-7, Satan offered Jesus every kingdom of the world, claiming their authority was his to give.

We break down Ephesians 6:12, where Paul says we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against rulers, against authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. We look at Daniel 10, where a heavenly messenger was held back for twenty-one days by the prince of the kingdom of Persia until Michael came to help, one of the clearest windows in Scripture into territorial spirits and the unseen war over nations. We talk about how presidents, corporations, and global institutions can end up as instruments of something they do not even believe exists.

We also ask the hard question: if Satan has this kind of influence, is anyone really in charge? The answer is yes. God has never given up His throne. Daniel 2:21 says He removes kings and sets up kings. Psalm 2 shows the nations raging and the rulers plotting against the Lord and His Anointed, and the One who sits in the heavens laughs. Colossians 2:15 says Christ disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them at the cross. Satan holds influence, but it is borrowed, limited, and running out.

Then we unpack one of the most misunderstood phrases in the Bible: the synagogue of Satan. Jesus uses it twice, in Revelation 2:9 to the church in Smyrna and in Revelation 3:9 to the church in Philadelphia, describing those who claim to belong to God but are not, who look religious on the outside while serving the enemy. It is a warning about counterfeit faith, a religious system that wears God's name while doing Satan's work. Paul warned of the same thing in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, false apostles disguised as servants of righteousness. The enemy has always preferred a pulpit to a pitchfork. And Revelation 3:9 ends with a promise: those who belong to the synagogue of Satan will one day bow before the faithful church and know that Christ has loved her.

From there the conversation moves into the end times. How does all of this connect to globalism, centralized digital control, and the push toward a one world government? What does Revelation 13 say about the beast system and the authority the dragon gives to it? And how do you live free, bold, and faithful in a world that is spiritually occupied territory?
