Gabbi: You are listening to The Fan and The Foe with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.
Louisa: In this episode of The Fan and The Foe we are discussing the world of sports, more specifically baseball!
Gabbi: Ewwww
Louisa: Hey! Already trying to start arguments I see
Gabbi: you know me
Louisa: Well, baseball is America's game so you can't really diss it without the majority of people being mad
Gabbi: whatever
Segment 1: Louisa talks about sports/ Banter!Louisa: Well, if you couldn't already tell, gabbi is not the fan here, I am
Gabbi: yea, I am anything but a fan, I just get the merch and look cute
Louisa: I hate that type of person, you guys are all such fake fans.
Gabbi: well it seems you hate everyone, so thats no surprise
Louisa: Fair enough, but if there's one thing I don't hate, its the yankees, except when the blow a game in the middle of the fifth inning
Gabbi: What does that even mean?
Louisa: the yankees or the blowing a game in the fifth inning
Gabbi: the inning thing, duhh of course I know who the yankees they are the worst team in baseball, we root strictly for philly teams in my house, are they were like people in historical times
Louisa: oh lord I hope you're joking…
Gabbi: of course im joking, the yankees are like THE epitome of baseball NOT
Louisa: okay thank gosh you know something, you're already a better foe than me
Gabbi: yea, usually you don't know anything
Louisa: okay okay we get it you're better than me
Gabbi: im what???!
Louisa: dont push it…
Gabbi: fine fine
Louisa: Okay well anyways I was born a yankees fan, I love going to the bronx despite the horrific drive to get there. I have probably been to about 10 games, which isn’t a lot but I feel like it could get a little repetitive if I went to too to many
Gabbi: Well you know what doesn’t get repetitive, watching the hunger games over and over and over again someone please try and help me convince louisa to watch the hunger games with me
Louisa: whatever you're trying to suggest lets stop it right there
Gabbi: mhm
Louisa: But seriously there's something about going to a yankees, game or even any game in person that is just so special.
Gabbi: like what. I feel like the games get so boring after a while, anytime i go see baseball the only thing i focus on is the food, especially the cotton candy but past that what's the point?
Louisa: the traditions gabbi, like the yankee’s bleacher creatures chanting all of the players names before the the first inning of every game, or the singing of sweet caroline, or even the dance battles that happen on top of dugouts
Gabbi: Oh I know about those. They can get…intresting
Louisa: oh yes they can. But they're really so fun to watch
Gabbi: I'll agree with you there
Segment 2: Trivia Louisa: anyways… My dad, my brother and I got the amazing opportunity to go to a world series game last year- like two seasons ago when they played the Dodgers. They had just forced a game 5, and so our friends had some tickets that they auctioned off. We went and it took FOREVER to get in for one, but the game started off really well
Gabbi: this sounds like its going south
Louisa: oh it does. Basically we all had bets on who would hit a homerun on the yankees, and I had bet on Judge, my dad on Stanton, and I think my brother on Chisolm, I kinda forget, and I remember I think only my dad and I won, but im again, not sure
Gabbi: So when does this get interesting??
Louisa: Jeez okay I'll fast forward. Basically the yankees were ahead by a lot in the fifth inning when it all went south. Gerritt Cole, the pitcher didn’t cover a base
