  • Episode 14: What Fast Food Can Teach You About FOPICA
    2026/07/26

    Today we're going through drive-throughs.

Six of the most recognizable fast food chains in the country. Six FOPICA pillars. And a genuinely compelling case that some of the best lessons about Focus, Ownership, Persistence, Intentionality, Clarity, and Action are hiding in plain sight on a menu board.

McDonald's and what fifty years of showing up actually builds. Chick-fil-A and why every single operational decision feels deliberate, including the one that costs them money every Sunday. Taco Bell and why shipping constantly beats polishing forever. Five Guys and what it means to own the tradeoff instead of apologizing for it. Raising Cane's and the discipline of saying no to everything that isn't the one thing.

And Popeyes. My guilty pleasure. The place I almost gave the Persistence slot to, and why I changed my mind. Also, I have a proposal for how they should redesign their menu that I think is both absurd and completely accurate.

This is the episode where all six pillars show up in one place. Told through chicken sandwiches and dollar menus.

  • Episode 12: Are You a Narcissist or Just an Asshole?
    2026/07/25

That word gets thrown around constantly. Your ex is a narcissist. Your boss is a narcissist. That person on social media is definitely a narcissist. It has become the default label for anyone who is confident, difficult, or just plain annoying.

But here's the thing. Most of the people getting that label don't come close to meeting the actual clinical definition. And when we use a serious psychological diagnosis to describe someone we don't like, we do two things at once. We dismiss people who are actually living with NPD. And we pathologize people who are just difficult.

This episode breaks down what Narcissistic Personality Disorder actually is, what the real diagnostic criteria look like, and why having narcissistic tendencies is very different from having the disorder. I can shoot free throws and dribble a basketball. That does not make me a basketball player.

Then we get into something more useful. Bruce Lee said absorb what is useful, discard what is useless, and add what is specifically your own. There are traits on the narcissistic spectrum that, stripped of the toxicity, are actually worth keeping. Unshakeable self belief. Protecting your time. Being the main character in your own story.

We also talk about why people use the word narcissist to describe people they don't like, why the same trait reads as confidence in one person and arrogance in another, and why running for president might be the most extreme act of self belief in existence.

This episode connects to the Clarity pillar of FOPICA.

  • Episode 11: LeBron James Is a FOPICA Podcast
    2026/07/01

LeBron James just told the Lakers he's leaving. He's 41 years old. He has nothing left to prove. And he's going somewhere new for his 24th season.

This episode is part sports take, part life lesson, and completely personal.

I'm settling the GOAT debate. Jordan or LeBron. I have a take, I'm showing my work, and I'm making the case for why the circumstances argument matters more than the championship count.

Then I'm breaking down LeBron James's entire career through the six pillars of FOPICA: Focus, Ownership, Persistence, Intentionality, Clarity, and Action. Not because LeBron set out to teach anyone anything. But because when you look at what he actually built and how he built it, the framework is all there.

It ends with where I think he should go next. And why Cleveland is the only ending that makes sense for the greatest story in NBA history.

If you're a sports fan who stumbled onto this, welcome. You might be here for LeBron. You might leave thinking about your own life. Both are fine.
