    Notes:

Salvador Dalí did not use superglue on his signature moustache or hair, primarily because modern superglue (cyanoacrylate) was not commercially available or used as a cosmetics product during the peak of his iconic styling.

Instead, Dalí maintained his gravity-defying, upturned mustache using traditional cosmetic and styling products, most notably Hungarian moustache wax (a stiff wax made of beeswax, resin, and oils).

He frequently discussed his mustache in interviews and his writings, noting that he applied wax in the morning to shape the tips into sharp, upright points. By the end of the day, as the wax softened, he allowed it to relax into a softer, natural shape.

    Sam’s contribution:

    This story is 100% true.

However, the museum tour guide? Turns out it was FAKE NEWS!

    EYC Member of the Week

Here Comes J. Edgar was the show that made Sam laugh more than anything else this summer. We are delighted to admit its co-creator Harry Shearer, as an honorary member of the EYC.

Also, Mike Batt is still very much alive and, because we erroneously killed him off in the pod, we would like to offer him lifetime membership by way of an apology.
