Jesus challenges religious status, social comfort, and our tendency to make excuses—then turns our attention to the servant’s role in carrying the invitation.
The call is clear: the banquet is ready, there is still room, and God sends His people to invite others in—those already invited, those on the margins, and those far off. This episode is a reminder that faithfulness is not only showing up, but helping others know they are wanted, welcomed, and invited into the life-changing presence of God.
