China's Supreme Court has confirmed a national AI adjudication system operating in 23 courts across 11 provinces. Shenzhen's courts used AI to help judges handle 50% more cases in a single year. Beijing's Internet Court has launched the country's first AI virtual judge. We talk about what this means for court backlogs, why AI lawyers — not just AI judges — might be the real unlock for access, and the honest tension nobody's talking about: what happens when justice gets faster, but harder to question.
