Tampons confiscated from teenage girls and called instruments of pleasure. Infants struck for crawling off a blanket in a practice the Duggars called “encouragement.”

A nine-year-old girl found the courage to speak. She waited years — carried what allegedly happened to her on a family beach vacation deep inside — and then she finally told someone. And because she spoke up, Joseph Duggar now sits at the center of the second child abuse case to rock this family in less than a decade.

Joseph was arrested on March 18, 2026, and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under twelve and lewd and lascivious conduct in Florida. According to the arrest affidavit, the victim — now fourteen — described being repeatedly positioned on Joseph’s lap and under blankets during a 2020 family trip to Panama City Beach. Her father confronted Joseph, who allegedly admitted to the abuse. He reportedly confessed again during a monitored phone call with a detective listening. Joseph pleaded not guilty and was released on six hundred thousand dollars bond. He cannot be alone with any child — including his own.

His wife Kendra faces four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment in Arkansas, filed after authorities reportedly found locks on the outside of the couple’s children’s bedroom doors. Recorded jail communications revealed Kendra telling Joseph not to trust anyone. She was reportedly separated from her four children for a month after the charges were filed.
