In this episode of The Drink, NBC News anchor Kate Snow sits down with filmmaker, actor, and writer Ed Burns.

Over a non-alcoholic Guinness, Burns opens up about his new book, loosely inspired by growing up on Long Island. He also tells Kate about the unlikely break Robert Redford gave him early in his career, and why -- after starring in big Hollywood films like “Saving Private Ryan” and “27 Dresses” -- he returned to his indie filmmaking roots. Plus, Burns gets personal about his decades-long marriage to supermodel Christy Turlington.

VOCO Roofbar in Times Square provided the location for this interview.
