  • RE-RUN: Systems Save Sanity: How I Stay Organized While Building Two 6-Figure Businesses
    2025/07/03

Wassup, Doc? We’re running this one back because, listen—if you’re entering Q3 still winging it with sticky notes and vibes, this one’s for you.

In this episode, I’m giving you the real deal on how I actually stay organized while running two six-figure businesses and living a life that doesn’t feel like a constant emergency. From automations to team support to CEO-level calendar management, I’m breaking down the systems that keep my business tight—and my sanity intact.

Now let me be clear: I am not a naturally organized person. I’m a visionary, a dreamer, a “let’s build it and figure it out later” kinda girl. But even I had to learn that success without structure is just chaos in a cute outfit.

If you’ve been feeling disorganized, overwhelmed, or like your business is being held together with duct tape and hope, this is your sign to stop flying by the seat of your scrubs and finally move like a CEO.

  • DGM #056: Certified in Real Life: Kenya Stanell on Owning Your Story, Not Just Your Credentials
    2025/06/26

Hey Doc! Welcome to yet another inspiring episode. In this episode, I’m sitting down with the powerhouse that is Kenya Stanell—nurse, executive leader, coach, and that girl when it comes to helping women lead their lives with intention and ease.

Kenya didn’t follow a straight line. She moved from accounting to nursing, to executive leadership, and now she’s helping women of color reclaim their time, their voice, and their wellness. We talked about what happens when you realize your dream job isn’t your dream life, the courage it takes to pivot, and why coaching certifications don’t mean a damn thing if you don’t believe in your own story first.

We also get into the real work: the inner work. The mindset shifts. The permission to rest. The unraveling of perfectionism and the decision to show up as your full, brilliant self.

Kenya is living proof that your purpose won’t leave you alone—and if you’re willing to follow it, it’ll lead you somewhere powerful.

  • DGM #055: Celebrate Life: Healing Through Gratitude with Ms. Pat Martin
    2025/06/19

Hey Doc! This week’s episode is not your typical Docs Get Money conversation, but it might be the one you didn’t know you needed.

While on one of my locums assignment, I had the absolute honor of meeting Ms. Pat Martin, a patient whose story stopped me in my tracks. Our conversation was one of those rare divine moments that stayed with me long after I left the hospital. We didn’t talk about business strategy or entrepreneurship. We talked about life. Gratitude. Pain. Beauty. Survival. And the kind of wealth you can’t count—but you can feel in your bones.

Ms. Pat shares her journey through breast cancer, the evolution of her Celebrate Life Day tradition, and the hard-won wisdom that only decades of living can offer. We talked about how purpose can show up in unexpected places, and how being open to the moment—even the painful ones—can lead to profound healing.

This is an episode about redefining what matters. About remembering who we are. About the internal power we all have to rebuild, reclaim, and rejoice—even when life doesn't go the way we planned.

I hope this conversation blesses you the way it blessed me. Tap in.

  • DGM #054: Not Another Burnout Story: How Dr. Nikia Smith Reclaimed Her Life Outside the OR
    2025/06/12

Hey Doc! Burnout doesn’t always hit like a freight train—it often creeps in quietly, disguising itself as “just a rough week” or “just part of the job.”

In this episode, I sat down with Dr. Nikia Smith, an anesthesiologist and life coach who knows exactly what it feels like to be successful on paper and completely depleted behind the scenes. We talked about the version of burnout no one sees coming, what it looks like to start over while still in medicine, and how she found her way back to herself—through community, coaching, and choosing ease.

Dr. Nikia is the kind of woman who gets it. She’s been in the OR during the worst of COVID, supervised by mid-levels, navigating the microaggressions and systemic mess that come with being a Black woman in medicine. But instead of letting it take her out, she used it as a launching pad.

Now, she’s building group coaching spaces and retreats that center healing, softness, and connection—especially for high-achieving women who’ve forgotten what it feels like to want something for themselves.

We talked about what it means to rest without guilt, how to trust your desires again, and why building a new way of working doesn’t always require a dramatic exit—just a different kind of courage.

If you’ve ever said, “I’m tired, but I don’t have time to slow down,” this one’s for you.

  • DGM #053: Changing the Cycle: Dr. Charis Chambers on Reproductive Truth & Showing Up Unapologetically
    2025/06/05

Hey Doc! What if your purpose was never meant to look like anyone else’s?

This week on the pod, I’m joined by the brilliant Dr. Charis Chambers a.k.a The Period Doctor, board-certified OB/GYN, pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, educator, and coach.

We talk about her journey from Spelman to Baylor to becoming a national voice in women’s and adolescent health. But this conversation goes way beyond medicine. We get into what it means to show up authentically in a world that profits from your silence, how to build a personal brand rooted in joy instead of performance, and the power of making faith-led moves even when the path isn’t clear.

Dr. Charis opens up about treating patients with gender dysphoria and disorders of sexual development, why representation in medicine isn’t just nice—it’s necessary—and how The Period Doctor was born from a deep desire to reclaim reproductive health education for Black girls and their families.

We also talk about how she built her coaching practice ReclamationRx, the tension between monetizing your purpose and protecting your peace, and what it means to create impact and income without selling your soul.

This episode is vulnerable, joy-filled, and full of truth. If you’ve ever wondered how to blend faith, passion, and purpose into a platform that actually changes lives—this one’s for you.

  • DGM #052: Bitcoin, Blockchain & Black Wealth: Cryptocurrency Demystified with Prof. Tonya Evans
    2025/05/29

Hey Doc! What does it really mean to protect your ideas, build generational wealth, and stay ahead of the next financial revolution?

This week on The Docs Get Money Podcast, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with Professor Tonya Evans — an intellectual property attorney, fintech expert, and one of the leading voices in the cryptocurrency space. In this conversation, we break down everything from IP and innovation to digital money and wealth building in communities of color.

Professor Evans shares how she went from big law to blockchain, why Bitcoin isn’t a scam (even though it sounds like one), and what physicians and professionals need to understand now to stay financially relevant in a digital economy. She also opens up about her own pivot — from law school professor to strategic consultant — and the legacy-building moves she’s making for herself and her future.

We talk about what it means to be prepared instead of panicked, how crypto and IP intersect in the most unexpected ways, and why it’s time to stop fearing the future and start learning how to participate in it.

This episode is full of insight, strategy, and mindset shifts — especially if you're curious about crypto, sitting on intellectual property you haven't monetized, or simply tired of being left out of wealth conversations that were never built for us to win.

  • DGM #051: You Are the Brand: Finding Your Power in the Frame with Erica Simmons
    2025/05/22

Hey Doc! You ever meet someone and immediately think, “Yep—she gets it”? That’s exactly what it felt like talking with Erica Simmons.

Erica isn’t a physician, but she is a visionary. As a personal branding photographer turned visual storytelling strategist, she’s captured the essence of some of the most brilliant Black women in medicine—and helped them step into who they truly are beyond the white coat.

In this episode of The Docs Get Money Podcast, we dig deep into identity, imposter syndrome, and what it means to be seen—not just photographed. Erica shares how she went from a small-town wedding shoot to shooting for brands like TJ Maxx, Clinique, and Lincoln. But more than the brands or business, it’s her heart for helping women see themselves fully that makes her work so transformative.

We talk about the weight of expectations, the quiet courage required to believe in your own story, and how choosing yourself—again and again—is a revolutionary act, especially for Black women in service-based industries. And yeah… we get real about how hard entrepreneurship can be when you're juggling work, family, legacy, and faith all at once.

This isn’t just about photography. It’s about identity, alignment, and the sacred work of being fully yourself in a world that keeps trying to box you in.
